Welcome to DetroitAircraft.com.  The Detroit Aircraft Corporation (DAC) is engaging Detroit’s industrial base and the Nation’s leading consultants to facilitate solutions in personal air mobility.

Originally founded in 1922 and reincorporated in 2011, Detroit Aircraft is a for-profit organization with the primary goal of manufacturing low cost next generation aircraft, to include hybrid/electrically propelled Unmanned and Optionally Piloted Vehicles (OPVs).

Our main objective in 2012 is to establish a public/private partnership with Government, Industry and University partners to form an industrial cluster at Detroit City Airport.  Such a cluster will provide low cost infrastructure, funding and support to attract innovators and users of Next Generation aircraft, services, and infrastructure with the objective of re-purposing portions of Detroit’s industrial base toward aeronautics.
